still working on VBSS btw
i've since completed Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, almost done with Oberon, not started making Titania yet, Rhea is in WIP, rest are basically done
you can check current progress here if you want
you can press "add biome" in biomes tab (rocky circle thing), you then just need to give it a name and it's basically done, you can then add sub biomes and stuff
as for adding the biomes to planet, you can either add your new biome using "add biome" modifier or by adjusting slider in biomes modifier
it's definitely something that has to be XML edited, with the same cubemap style px, nx, py, ny, pz, nz for every cubic 3D direction (i have quite a lot of background textures from the stuff i've downloaded so that's how ik), but i have no other clue like the guys below
if you mean the daytime skybox, just enable the "Fade Skybox During Daytime" (it's called something similar to that, idk exact name) at the basic stuff tab (one with name, version, description, radius, gravity, etc.)
however if you want it always hidden, go into the game settings and set "Star Brightness" to whatever you wish, or zero for a completely black skybox
yep, pi is something i'm not too familiar with though (all ik is that it's around 3.14, has like a kajillion decimals, and is generally used for measuring something regarding to circles or something)
@YaMomzBox420
i'm looking for some textures too, do you know any that doesn't require account and everything is free to download? (quality isn't as issue for me)
@Vedhaspace
i used Sun radii for mine, i simply took that value and multiplied it with 1708, since UY Scuti's radius is around supposedly 1708x Sun radius, but i'm sure both methods work
@wwwNews777com
just so you know:
- this is a mess-around system i made called "UYscutiTestZone"
- the big bright ball is of course "real" size (VB scale) UY Scuti
- the small dark and grey ball in front of it is VB Fomalhaut
- the orange and black ball is VBSS Sun
- the planet is a fictional superhabitable world cause it's the only thing i could put there that has a launch spot (it's completely unrealistic, ik)
- the craft is my SV80
i need to get the Vanar System out first, it's so that people can get the feel of the larger scale first before diving into the replica-ridden hell
Vasa X is in Zenith Galaxy, i'm just making it part of ZG rather than it's own system so that i don't have to update VS10 then ZG again, etc., it's just to save time
VBT1 and VBTGS are basically done and need finishing touches, however VBSS still needs lots of things, as for the other systems like Alpha Centauri and Tau Ceti, those will come soon
@pianoAerospace
you need to brake while the engine is still producing thrust, if it's displaying it in negative kN then it's working
you can also rebind the reverse thrust to a different input like an AG or slider
i'm no expert but here's what i've experienced so far:
(you can also read the tooltips if you hover over the sliders)
Proportional: the "main part" of the autopilot, it dictates how much correction power is used to turn the craft to the set orientation Integral: basically a "boost" to proportional, it may sometimes add more or less turning power, it's sort of unpredictable, but i recommend keeping it at a low level (usually just zero) Derivative: the "counter-force" to the other two, it dictates how much correction power is used to correct the craft to the set orientation if it goes beyond said point
yeah, i know
problem is that i didn't know how to hohmann transfer or that kinda stuff
and the infinite fuel cheat (it's available in the stock game, alt+f12 menu i think?) was kinda broken for me
however the main issue is that i don't even have KSP anymore, it was on my old laptop but when i got my new one we didn't transfer the data over so i don't have it anymore
@FriendlyFin
okay that mod is legit awesome
i thought you accidentally posted a picture of a modded habitable planet instead of the visual pack Laythe lol
still, good job, i never reached anywhere beyond Kerbin SOI escape (and into Kerbol orbit) during back when i still had the game
there's currently nothing there if you open the structure menu, though it's possible they hid something without using it.
on the same note, however, i did add some secrets (namely, a radar dish, launch pad, and tower thing, of alien origin) in my AJS version which people can check out once it's done (not trying to advertise, i'm just giving context or whatever)
@YaMomzBox420
Got it, thank you. I'll try to be more clear with my posts from now on...

It's nothing related to suicide, i just have a difficult test coming up. Edited the post myself. Apologies for any confusion.
3.7 years ago@sflanker
very wise words indeed
3.7 years ago@OmniExplorationDivision
i have no idea
3.7 years ago@pianoAerospace
it will, it just takes way too damn long cause school exists
3.7 years ago@pianoAerospace
the fill function is planned to be added, but not implemented yet, but otherwise yeah, new nuclear engine types would be cool
3.7 years agoyea i'll finish those, then go over a system overview, upload celestial bodies, finally i'll take screenshots and post it
3.7 years ago@pianoAerospace
You are a good man. Thank you.

F
3.7 years agoyeah probably, device differences do need to be taken into account
3.7 years ago@OmniExplorationDivision
huh, weird, i've used remember me before but it never worked, it always forgot my login when i came back
3.7 years ago@Vedhaspace
idk either
3.7 years agoi'm also wondering what "remember me?" on login page does
if you're using the value biomes modifier, simply change the slider to the other biome

yeah, people can't understand that mobile players exist and that they can't have mods
3.7 years ago@String8263963429
it's not really cheating per say, but there are some elitists that get mad because of it
3.7 years agothat's what i've found too, guess the 10 kg/m3 is coming back then
3.8 years ago@YaMomzBox420
aight, guess i'll use that for now

3.8 years agoyes

3.8 years agoi tried that before by copying the exact code, but all it did was add the clouds texture to the water and not the scaled space
3.8 years ago@FriendlyFin

it does work, you can try Stellar Neighborhood or my ZenithGalaxy, however you will need an extremely overpowered craft

yeah then there's no way to actually go FTL using it
3.8 years ago@FriendlyFin
exactly
3.8 years ago@pianoAerospace
from what i've read somewhere (might be wikipedia), apparently we only need about one ton of exotic matter for the warp drive, not sure tho

i also found some other potential name origins you could add:
- Nebra (analogue for Io): possibly Nebra sky disc
- Orcus (analogue for Triton): there is actually a celestial body named (90482) Orcus IRL
- Niobe (analogue for Phobos): there's also an asteroid IRL (71 Niobe) as well as a surface feature on Venus, Niobe Planitia
3.9 years agothat's possible too

nice, let's hope we can find interesting stuff on exoplanets
