If you want immersion from story and stuff, KSP. If you want cockpits that you don't have to create yourself (for now), KSP. If you want to enjoy nearly endless customization of anything and everything from crafts to even entire solar systems, SR2. If you want something you can make the most detailed replicas, be it a car, submarine, rockets, or aircraft.. SR2.
Some people can't download crafts. Some people just don't want to. How someone upvotes is up to them and shouldn't matter unless it's by breaking the rules. I upvote without downloading about 99% of the time.
Tinker panel is ok for anything and everything except challenges that say otherwise! It's a sandbox where you can do anything without rules (except when uploading to the website).
How detailed and accurate you make the replica is up to you. If you choose to give it additional fuel because it can't do what it did IRL, or what it was proposed to do, I say go ahead! All up to you.

SimpleRockets 2 is rated 4+ on the App Store and rated E for everyone on the Google Play Store, so it really depends on what type of content you put in the video.
I myself wouldn't mark a SR2 video as "made for kids" because SR2 is generally for all age groups.
The name of the game is "Simple"Rockets 2, I don't think it's trying to be a full on simulator. I think it's trying to give the feeling of being close enough that you can learn from it, while also still being fun and realistic (to a point).. Which is why I love the game.

Make sure if you use Imgur to post pictures, that you remove the S from HTTPS, otherwise it won't show up. To get the direct link of an image, just right click it and click "view image".

Make sure you have some monoprop fuel, and you need to turn on RCS when you are in space. There is a transitional mode that lets you use RCS to move forwards and side to side and stuff instead of turning.
Not very many tutorials as of right now, just the ingame one. Best tutorials you can get right now are probably the KSP tutorials for stuff.
Like @Shigure says, I run a discord server for SR2 specifically, and like @RailfanEthan says, Dllama4 runs a SimplePlanes/SimpleRockets discord server.
You go to this website and log in using the same email you used for your account here. You'll be able to upload images there and use them as your profile picture. It's a little tedious I know, but it's how things are done round here.

It states that the word's plural form is usually 'craft', but not limited to 'craft'.
Both 'craft' and 'crafts' work.

+2 4.1 years agoDownloading and uploading crafts/sandboxes is the closest you'll get. Jundroo has denied the multiplayer idea many, many times.
