We just finished the docking port, so now you will be able to join your crafts together in holy matrimony.

With this ring, I thee wed,

In orbit and in wreckage,
in poverty or in sandbox mode,

We dropped the two-part docking system from SimpleRockets 1 (docking port and docking plug). Now it's a single, androgynous part that can connect to any other docking port. Once you connect with another craft, you can freely transfer fuel between any available fuel tanks. Docking is tricky, so we had to add a translational mode to the RCS nozzles so that you can easily move your craft forwards, sideways, and up/down without rotating. It helps quite a bit, but it still takes skill to make a connection.

There are no limits to how many docking ports you can stick on a craft, well except for what your CPU and GPU can handle. This is one of the most important parts in the game because it allows you to keep building onto your crafts even after they are in flight. It's also one of the trickiest parts I've implemented. A lot of stuff happens when you make or break a connection and it took quite a while to get it working just right. Don't worry, I'm sure I left a few bugs in there for you to enjoy too.

    I love that blue tone that everything has, the command pod, the solar panels, the engine, and also the webpage. Also @AndrewGarrison the electricity will only be used for the ion engine or will it be used for more things?
