@TriVector Couldn't agree more, also nowadays a lot of people seem to care a lot about the points instead of just having fun, and putting volume before quality...
Wow! Thank you so much for hosting this wonderful competition, it was so fun to work on, almost like a fun little puzzle to solve. Also I'd never expect to win amongst all of these brilliant submissions. Are you planning on making a video showcasing all the submissions? @souperplane
To be fair, I feel like the activity on Juno over the last two years has died down a little; don't take it personally. I also see it even in my posts that downloads have gone down over time, even though my builds have gotten better generally. I took a look at your profile, and I noticed that you could work on thumbnails. Rn most are like in the designer and if you took a little time to take a nice pic in game, it would get you more clicks.
Also, u hv lot of posts that are just an iteration of a previous design with a few only minor adjustments posted in rapid succession (like few hrs). This will get significantly less activity and give a lot of people just scrolling around new crafts the feeling like "We've seen this one before". A big part of users also don't like the spamming of the crafts page with similar designs ;)
The Same goes for others crafts with minor adjustments. Some people see the credit system and immediately "Well someone else built this, it's not his, so I ain't upvoting it." The content that does best is usually original designs that are finished (like tested well and looking nice).
TLDR:
If you want more activity per post,
1. Think about your post thumbnail
2. Maybe post less versions of the same craft in rapid succession
3. Try to engage people with original and unique designs
Hope this helps and don't take it personal my guy, people don't hate you, they just didn't notice you yet. Keep working on your building skills and you will be just fine ;)
My advice would be to download a lot of crafts you find very nice and then take them apart, try to understand what techniques they use to make so beautiful and see what you can use, just try out a lot of different stuff
@UPGIndustries Ahh yeah ofc if u use tinker you can basically make everything work as long as they don't explode in the atmosphere, also ion engines work during time warp so that's also very nice. You can also edit all other rocket engine's fuel consumption by going in the rocket engine tab and editing 'massFlowRateOverride' for fuel flow and 'ThrustOverride' for thrust editing
@UPGIndustries If you need 1 engine for everything, use the aerospike nozzle type, it had the same efficiency everywhere regardless of atmosphere.
@Xpace If you have more space for engines, I'd add a vacuum-optimised engine for orbital manoeuvres and for thinner atmospheres. Also add either a shitload of RCS thrusters and monopropellant and/or a powerful gyroscope for in-space orientation and during aerobraking stuff (also comes in handy if your geometry makes it so your CoM shifts up/down during flight). I'm building a vanilla SSTO atm so I'm finding out these things out the hard way ahahah, hope this helps ;)
So you have to have the center of lift slightly (not too far) behind the center of mass (the blue and red dot), and make sure your control surfaces are large enough and your wings also. It also helps if the control surface wing is more away from the center of lift so it can create more angular momentum. Hope this helps
Have you checked the wheel directions? Might be that one side is reversed, causing it to turn. Or, it can be assymetrical power, that one side has more torque than another
@Oliospaceagency I don't understand what you mean by custom then, if you want to bind activation group 1 through 10 that's easy it's on the top of ur part menu, if you want extra ags like 11-20 just go into hidden properties of your command pod and set activation groups from the default 10 to whatever number you want
Alternatively, you can bind an activation group to a part that usually doesn't have one (like a fuel tank or a label) by going into hidden properties and then activation group something other than the default 0
@Livingg017 Yeah I feel you man, there's just something about knowing that you really nailed a craft and then putting it out there for everyone to see. And I do really enjoy your builds! However I can't help but notice the trend when you just scroll through the recent posts that there's much more slop for easy points compared to when I just started playing and idk it's a little sad
@BeaconIndustries I'm making a small interceptor and laying the groundwork for a supersonic bomber (Avro vulcan x B1 lancer style) which is going to be a corner clamp/pinch/slant nightmare
Today I am working on a small corporate jet, a large cargo transport with working interior rollers and a huge vanilla SSTO, and I just switch between them depending on which one I feel like working on ;)

Description will add a nice touch to your craft! So everyone knows what they're dealing with here

19 days ago@JAdynamics ooh yeah that'd be cool aswell
21 days agoUhh Saab 2000 maybe?
22 days ago@Wingsofsteelpilot77 You have to put no spaces between the brackets like this

one month ago- Healthy TWR - More value for same amount of fuel
- Relatively low empty weight - Ensures you are not carrying too much dead weight
- Size - Fuel tanks' empty weight is lighter per unit fuel when bigger, so that's a plus
- Fuel type - Higher ISP is great, big tanks especially favour hydrolox
one month agoHey maybe you could try something you haven't done ever or for a long time, like a car or satellite or airliner or something like that
one month ago@Livingg017 Yeah I can make u admin if you want, did you join the discord already? https://discord.gg/HJKe8gjt

4 months ago@BeaconIndustries You know what I'll just go ahead and make a server, shouldn't be that hard
4 months ago@BeaconIndustries I'm making a small interceptor and laying the groundwork for a supersonic bomber (Avro vulcan x B1 lancer style) which is going to be a corner clamp/pinch/slant nightmare
4 months ago@BeaconIndustries Oooh yes I will, I have something in mind ;)
4 months ago@Cuhheeairspace Since a few days now I think
4 months agoIs there a discord server for this?
4 months agoLike literal copies, and then he bypassed the auto-credit to not get caught immediately
4 months agoGot banned because a lot of his crafts were stolen from others
4 months ago@StocktonAerospace https://www.simplerockets.com/c/5JAd0K/LX-343-AeroCargo
Here you can sneak peek check it out
Control the rollers with the translate sliders, up to engage the sideways rollers
5 months agoAlso they're only activated if the doors are open
@StocktonAerospace Yeah and it also has a tail door
5 months ago@StocktonAerospace yeah it was a pain to create overlapping rollers that go sideways also at the cargo doors
5 months agoToday I am working on a small corporate jet, a large cargo transport with working interior rollers and a huge vanilla SSTO, and I just switch between them depending on which one I feel like working on ;)
5 months agoMaybe the KLM or the old Delta livery would be nice
1.2 years ago@Denis73 likely it used loads of tinker panel and XML editing
