i'm pretty sure you can upload more than 4, i heard the devs implemented that feature into this game and site too (it originated from SP) but it didn't work due to some reason so they disabled it, though that was a fairly long time ago so maybe they have since fixed and re-enabled it?
@SamTheFox
yeah, it does sound really weird, and the afterburner gives it a bit more meaty feel but otherwise it definitely lacks the high pitch that jet engines are known for
yes, that too, sometimes i use the connection menu and disable annoying sticky attach points, its super useful, but as you said rather underused
@plane918273645
you need to decrease the grid size and angle snap values in the designer
if it still doesn't go to the right spot, place the parts just floating in the designer and move them to the correct spot with the translation tool, then use the connection menu to connect the part(s) to the body
you need to edit the SMA's of the celestial bodies in the system's XML file, so far its the only way to get orbits beyond whatever the normal limit is
@Gen3ralInterstel1ar
you need something that supports png and can make transparent stuff, i used kapwing myself for a short while since it supports png and can do transparent but otherwise its not that good
my version is, as i said, a mix of both; as such, it'll keep things like the Taurus revamp (albeit reverted back to Titan yellow color) or other changes, but the blue Juno and extended Droo atmosphere will definitely be reverted back to the old color/height since many people complained about that
@Toinkove
yeah maybe lol
i'm also 100% reverting Droo atmosphere to original height, that and the blue dwarf were by far the most complained about things in the update lol
@Wenhop
yeah, school always overexxagerated planets by saying "they're egg/lemon/potato shaped" even tho it's like a few kilometer difference so for any normal person it'd just be spherical if viewed from space
@SamTheFox
yes... sometimes i straight up machine gun them onto the site, other times i'm like "okay i think the planet-building addiction finally ended" (and then starts again a few days later)
@DragoranosSR2
methalox is just balanced between the easy storage but high density of kerolox and the high efficiency but low density of hydrolox, that's why many of us use methalox because it doesn't have major tradeoffs, it's balanced
generally methalox (thats what i always use personally), but also many other people use methalox in general, hydrolox for bigger crafts, and xenon for ion engine people, you should also probably add kerolox just in case
i haven't updated the game yet due to certain reasons, is the flare color completely customizable with colors? (like, with a color wheel or something)
@Luckwut
nah, sorry, Mortan and MortanBonus were always solo things
i only really needed help on VBSS because i completely ran out of ideas on how to do Europa and Enceladus
@StarDominatorIIVV
if you want to heat up parts without using air resistance, simply get a rocket engine and blast it on the parts you wanna heat up, you will also most likely need a way to counter-balance the engine's thrust
this has happened to me too multiple times, i literally have the part(s) connected to a fuel tank (yes, i checked, fuel tank, not strut or anything else), and it still displays that message, tho usually reloading the craft tends to fix it
boy are you in for a treat, i've made a post on it a year ago, it has all the necessary instructions to get there from DSC, alongside coordinates and pictures
@LeaveUsAlone vanilla overload is already in the game, added like 2 updates prior i think?
to access it, simply go to the part properties on the selected part, scroll down to tinker panel, and on the bottom there should be a button "edit hidden properties" or something like that, hit that, and there you go, that's overload
H2O has more density which means its heavier but also means you can pack in more fuel, and since it's literally just regular old water it's hyper cheap
LH2 is expensive and less dense which means you can't pack as much of it in a fuel tank, but makes your craft lighter due to the low density which will definitely make a huge impact
as for efficiency, idk which is best, but generally, if you wanna "save" cash then use H2O, but if you wanna go full weight reduction bro, then use LH2
another thing i've found is using the atmosphere fog shader and bumping up its height scale parameter to like 50 so that it wraps around the whole star rather than like a half or 2/3rd of it and increasing the "intensity from space" parameter to a suitable value which will make them look like they are glowing without actually giving off any light in the "dark side", idk if somebody has done it before me but it's a handy workaround for sure, the only real downside is that it means you can't put designs on the stars, making them only appear as a colored sphere, but that generally shouldn't matter too much
@sacr3dbac0n0
yep, good idea, defo using that technique, thanks
2.4 years ago@YaMomzBox420
yep lol
2.5 years ago2.2 lacunarity and 0.7 gain on the clouds looks really darn good
@Luckwut
obviously the other crafts are lit too

yeah for rings you need to use a program that can create png's

ignore me taking normal screenshot on the third pic rather than using photo tool lol

keep in mind that i still haven't updated the game yet due to personal reasons, so i can't get the new system yet
2.6 years ago@Wenhop
i'm planning to make a Juno system that blends the new one and the previous one, and yes it will have yellow star
2.6 years agoi'll try one of those, thanks
2.6 years ago@Toinkove
can you give the calculation to get volume from radius?
2.6 years ago@Toinkove
yeah, and ofc there's many other interstellar crafts too
2.6 years ago@StarDominatorIIVV
yes... sometimes i straight up machine gun them onto the site, other times i'm like "okay i think the planet-building addiction finally ended" (and then starts again a few days later)
2.6 years ago@DragoranosSR2
don't care
2.6 years ago@TronicOrbital
that too
2.6 years ago@SamTheFox
paneling, lots and lots of paneling

images don't seem to load
2.6 years agomust be my internet bugging
sorry
yeah, true
2.6 years ago@TronicOrbital
nice, i have my 100% custom Titan already (definitely one of my best creations) so yeah i don't need it unfortunately
2.6 years ago@StarDominatorIIVV
thanks dude, tag me on an unlisted if you can please
2.6 years ago@StarDominatorIIVV
sure
2.6 years ago@StarDominatorIIVV
yes
2.6 years ago@StarDominatorIIVV
the guy already said that they have it turned on

also revamped Taurus and a few other celestial bodies, and both jet and rocket engines have new sounds
2.6 years ago@Spenzerointernational lol yeah i was guessing its that

there isn't really a true beginning tbh
2.6 years agoeither way, i'll upload enceladus now, you don't need to rush btw
