    Noob player question

    the smaller the rocket, that faster and more efficient it gets

    to get a basic orbit, you first must launch your craft, tilt it 75 degrees towards the east (unless the planet spins backwards), and make sure your speed is under something like 600 meters per second. then, when you see the atmosphere getting a bit darker, tilt the craft 45 degrees. once your apoapsis exceeds the atmosphere (on droo it’s about 60 kilometers), throttle down and tilt the craft all the way east. once you’re about 40 seconds from the apoapsis, throttle up until your periapsis is about 60 kilometers, then you’ve made an orbit.

    you can use maneuver nodes to rendezvous with other planets, without guessing when to burn. you can place maneuver nodes on your orbit by left clicking or double-tapping on your orbit. you will guess where to burn, and if the guess is wrong, keep guessing until you find an efficient route to the target planet.

    to target an object, open the map (the default hotkey is M) and click/tap a planet, or craft, and click/tap the broken square icon, that will target the planet or craft. maneuver nodes require you to target something, unless you’re really really REALLY good at guessing, then you should mine as well not use them.

    turn down the speed of the piston
    test the landing leg in low gravity, or in orbit
    turn down the mass of the landing leg to 5% or 0%
    increase the size of the hinge that connects the piston to the landing leg

    in that case, check all the connections, and make sure you break the landing legs' symmetry, otherwise this is a bug

    in the main menu of the game, they appear every update on the top right button. click it, and you should see a “diary” of what the developers are up to, and a summary of the current features

    there's this thing in simplerockets 2 that is called a nav sphere, you can press tab to open it, or you can press the nav sphere button (on the right)

    if you want to learn from real life then uhh...

    if you want to magically add battery to your craft, vizzy can't do that

    I need to customize the celestial map

    the planet paint tab requires a compatible noise element in the terrain generation

    the planet cubemap requires a cube element or something and images that are precisely distorted in the way a sphere is shaped. it’s hard because a cube and a sphere are two completely different shapes

    simplerockets 2 doesn’t let you convert an equirectangular map into a sphere

    what even is a celestial map?
