As the title stated, also, I am @Tsuchiisan, a proud page 2 user in simpleplanes.com, what should I know and learn about the topics of spacefaring and other related stuff?

Anyway, I’m bad at explaining what you need to know.

there's this thing in simplerockets 2 that is called a nav sphere, you can press tab to open it, or you can press the nav sphere button (on the right)

@Zenithspeed @SamTheFox I've done that, but what I wonder is how do crafts point themselves the right way? I've tinkered with some built-in basic crafts but I still wonder how, and I like airships, dieselpunk ones, not irl(but they're still cool)

i could also suggest doing the in-game tutorials if you haven't done so already, it runs it down in a simple and rather understandable way

Chris Hadfield described it as this:

"You'll want to go up [slightly pitching towards the east] slowly gaining speed, it's sort of like your rocket is an elevator that goes up to where the atmosphere is thin enough so that drag can be minimized as much as possible"

the smaller the rocket, the faster it goes
