@AndrewGarrison in KSP, you can put a thrust limiter on an engine. This makes it so you have less thrust per second, but you burn a proportional less fuel per second. This is extremely useful for things like SRBs, which have a high thrust and high fuel consumption, and being able to limit the thrust will make for more efficient and stable rockets.

Will the reentry effects be purely asthetic or will it have an actual effect on the performance of the rocket?

Just like KSP, most likely companies will offer you contracts to get to a certain goal (get an orbit, test this engine, do some science) and will reward you upon completion

    How to use a candle

    1. Make a candle using the instructions above
    2. Gather things such as sawdust, small wood splinters, pieces of cotton, etc
    3. Create a long line of the gathered materials and have them lead into your neighbor's backyard, preferably into something such as a thick bush
    4. At the end of the line, create a large pile of material
    5. Using the candle, ignite the line of material and hope your neighbor doesn't have fire insurance

@Mostly however, as this community has shown, most discussion here is civil. This entire thread is civil discussion. We shouldn't discourage different opinions just because some people might make it go sour.

To the people saying that I can't control people, you're exactly right. I can't. That's why this is called "Small Rant", rather than "We need to change"

To the people that say I'm taking this community too seriously, I'm sorry. This is just a bit less ordered of a community than I'm used to, and maybe I will have to change. That won't stop me from making my opinion heard, however.

To those who say that gasoline can e used as a very crappy rocket fuel, I suppose you're right. It would, however, not be tuned to the rocket's needs and would most likely be very inefficient

@goboygo1 I bring you this comment (which is actually for a good purpose, mind you) : this

@Awsomur Yes, I do admit that the car gasoline thing was probably a joke, but it has been getting harder and harder to distinguish between jokes and seriousness these days

@Thederpingmemes I think you don't really know your geology very well. The universe is currently about 15 billion years old. Earth formed only a couple billion years ago. When the universe turns 43.9 billion years old, many stars will have been put out. The milky way and Andromeda will have merged. There will be no Earth, much less a bay off the coast of Bengal. Aren't a lot of people here supposed to know about space?

@MrTaco mining the materials would not be impratical, bringing the materials back would be impractical. Having a lot of raw material, water, and whatever else is inside Mars would make it a great "pit stop" for future missions. Heck, it could all be automated if we really tried. That saves money on supplies for future missions and saves extra weight.
