@Junie01 tydos is certainly not almost as big as the sun if that were the case we would have a binary system with the sun and tydos orbiting around a barycenter which infact is not the case here.
@AstroTommy the phase angles can actually be calculated but most of the time its easier to just play around with manouver nodes and getting an encounter that way.
But hydrogen peroxide is a monopropellent and if more different monopropellents would get added to the mod just calling all of them hydrogen peroxide would also be incorrect.
Be prepared to make a lot and i mean alot of burns at periapsis. It took me more than 50 individual burns to get an ion probe to the orbit height of the moon.
@AverageHuman i just buildt a rocket type craft with jet engines that goes straight vertical and was able to leave the athmosphere but i guess its more fun to get a plane up to high altitudes.
Remember to set the command chip to plane mode.
5.7 years ago@Sharandeep981 um it has no horizontal stabilizers
5.7 years ago@Kell im pretty sure op is looking at the TWR of a certain engine and not the whole craft.
5.7 years ago@Anand you'll for sure be able to download sandboxes with custom solar systems once the builder is out though.
5.8 years ago@DerekSP sad to hear but still thanks
5.8 years agoAndroid themselves dont allow mods anymore.
5.8 years ago@Junie01 tydos is certainly not almost as big as the sun if that were the case we would have a binary system with the sun and tydos orbiting around a barycenter which infact is not the case here.
5.8 years agoHow could you tell?
5.8 years ago@AstroTommy the phase angles can actually be calculated but most of the time its easier to just play around with manouver nodes and getting an encounter that way.
5.8 years agoIm playing on intel HD graphics on my laptop and it works just fine
5.8 years ago@Allglad thats just the ascending and descending node telling you when your orbit crosses the zero inclination mark.
5.8 years ago@XxMegamonsterxX i will dought that he said that.
5.8 years ago@Kell What does he know that we dont?
5.9 years ago😂
There was a metric conversion mod in sp which i was using
5.9 years agoIf you mean the nav sphere you can toggle it on and off with tab.
5.9 years agoBut hydrogen peroxide is a monopropellent and if more different monopropellents would get added to the mod just calling all of them hydrogen peroxide would also be incorrect.
5.9 years agoJust put the motor input for the wheels to something like slider 2 or dont include any batterys
5.9 years agoTrial and error and a lot of quicksaving and loading. There currently isnt a better way to do it.
6.0 years ago@MarioG nope it actually ends at around 58km
6.1 years agoclicky
6.1 years agoMake sure to launch at the correct launch window so when cylero is around 55° ahead of droo
6.1 years agoJust use many fuselage blocks
6.1 years agoclicky
6.1 years agoThey won't add weapons into the game as its supposed to be a peaceful exploration game.
6.1 years ago@MethaManAircraft currently not
6.1 years agoBe prepared to make a lot and i mean alot of burns at periapsis. It took me more than 50 individual burns to get an ion probe to the orbit height of the moon.
6.2 years ago@Icantthinkofaname same
6.2 years agoYou can just see the orbital period of droo in the map view.
6.2 years agoIts K for me.
6.2 years agoIs it not easier to just use the reatach button?
6.2 years ago@AverageHuman here you go
6.2 years ago@AverageHuman i just buildt a rocket type craft with jet engines that goes straight vertical and was able to leave the athmosphere but i guess its more fun to get a plane up to high altitudes.
6.2 years agoDoes it have to have wings?
6.2 years ago@pedro16797 ive tried it once and almost got it back to droo but didnt quite have enough delta v.
6.2 years agoYou can actually drag manouver nodes the direction relative to the orbit just doesnt stay the same.
6.2 years agoWhen looking at the image i realized that the sun is still exactly as bright as if looked at from droo. I dont think its supposed to be like that.
6.2 years ago@pedro16797 ive made it to lightspeed myself but how did he get to 250km/s with supposedly no use of the tinker panel.
6.3 years agoI can just say it again we dont know anything more than you do!
6.3 years agoAmazing!!! But how on droo did you do that?
6.3 years ago@Exospaceman i dont know how much longer i can wait for the customizable rocket engines!
6.3 years agoSo a new rocket for every planet/moon?
6.3 years agoDamn i thougt it was just some kind of filter. This is amazing!
6.3 years agoTo my knowledge one unit is 1 meter.
6.3 years agolink
6.4 years agoYou could try a Saturn C-8
6.4 years agoThats not really how NTR's work.
6.4 years agoIts °C and you might have to turn reentry effects on in the settings.
6.4 years agoGet to orbit with a rocket weighing less than 3tons. My record is 2318kg.
6.4 years agoAndrew did a blog post about it a few months ago in there is a gif which explains pretty good what it does.
6.4 years agoFinally jet engines
