i'll try, and yeah don't worry i have experience with the planet brush
edit: tried it but didn't work, it still just displays a solid black surface :(
@SpaceSharkie201
for those wondering: the planet is (mostly) done, i've placed it in a basic system with a couple of things, don't know when y'all could expect a release date tho
oof, may that craft rest in peace.
my tactic is to just upload a backup of the craft, but that doesn't always work, so whatever floats your boat i guess.
@HorizonsTechnologies
NOTE: For now a maximum of 5 community-suggested celestial bodies will be added, meaning there's one more slot left.
If you wanted a suggestion but couldn't make it in, a similar suggesting opportunity will most likely occur at system version 1.4
note: the first picture is a bit misleading, the "DSC" text is meant to be around where the DSC is, while the arrow points the general direction of where to go, with the tip/end marking the approx. location of the mountain range
alright, i'll get the planet's miscellaneous stuff finished and i'll add an image on the main post so you can see how it looks before the whole system is uploaded
@SwanHelium
how big do you want the large crater to be? currently it takes up about about 1/8th of the planet surface and i can't make it any smaller without the terrain gen adding even more craters
@SwanHelium
great, so now i know that it should be legal, but now i can't choose a file editor to use, each one either requires an account or is just straight up broken, or both
yeah, while i was creating your moon i decided to have a go at domain warping, it's quite a cool feature and it's basically "noise for the noise", and when used correctly it can provide some pretty good looking things
@Luckwut
i know i should've written a bug report, but bug report uploads your current sandbox, and planet studio system editor ≠ current sandbox, although it's possible that the sandbox upload is optional, never tried it myself yet.
tried it but didn't work, also my SP account isn't an "old one", it's just the one that i use for SP while this remains as my SR2 one
edit: it worked now, but it gave the points to the SP acc rather than this one so there's that
@DrexxVolv
yeah, please do if possible, just upload a blank planet unlisted with the rings on it and i'll download it.
just so you know, i could make the texture myself but i have no idea how to import it into the game and have it be displayed in the texture selector, that's my main actual problem but forgot to write it in the post
@NotAGopnik
yeah for number 2 is was mostly asking for the amount of points needed (not like i actually care, just to get a better grasp of things)
@NebulaSpaceAgency
can you please explain better? i'm a bit of an idiot myself.
basically, when i log in to the account, does the SP-site transferred one get the points or does my current new one get them?
@DrexxVolv
they look sorta cool (imo) but from what i've seen they don't put out as much power as the other nozzles, like if i have an engine with like 18k kN of thrust with bell or cone nozzle, aerospike tends to have around 17k kN instead for me, but otherwise yeah they're quite rare
can you explain by "log into my SP account?" do i just login to my SP account on the SP site or enter the login stuff of my SP account on the SR2 site? otherwise thanks for answering
@DrexxVolv
yep, after reading through your instructions carefully and confirming that i've done all of them as said, i can confirm i did.

@HorizonsTechnologies
yeah, i know, however XML-ing is kinda buggy for me since i use a downloaded text editor rather than the mod since i'm on ios.
3.8 years ago@HorizonsTechnologies
oof, haven't noticed that, guess it's not my original idea then
3.8 years ago@ChalxAerospace
yeah, i'm wondering too
3.8 years ago@lapista
can't promise to do an exact replica of any of these, but i'll try to get as close as possible
3.8 years ago@Staticalliam7
bruh why is everyone upvoting this
3.8 years agosame @NebulaSpaceAgency
if you mean those little canards and whatnot on the car, then yeah i can do that @DrexxVolv

haha thanks lol, no idea when system's ready though

3.8 years ago@SwanHelium
it's fine, long comments have better detail than just a few words so it's easier to make the planet too
3.8 years ago@SwanHelium
SimpleEdit works and doesn't require any logins, thank you so much :)

i haven't tried domain warping yet, can you briefly explain what it roughly does?
3.9 years ago@Luckwut
yeah
3.9 years ago@DrexxVolv
ah so it's different than in the SP site? there everyone just calls it tagging, but i guess there are some localized diffferences lol
3.9 years ago@DrexxVolv
i know i should've written a bug report, but bug report uploads your current sandbox, and planet studio system editor ≠ current sandbox, although it's possible that the sandbox upload is optional, never tried it myself yet.
3.9 years agonot sure then, either way idrc about points, so i just need to wait around a few days or so and i should have the minimum needed
3.9 years ago@DrexxVolv

ah, understandable
3.9 years ago@DrexxVolv
weird, the pictures aren't showing even though i'm using the same format as i've always used
3.9 years agothanks a lot too, i'm not the type of person to force others to do something, so if you or somebody else can't make it then i understand. @JastroOne1
3.9 years agoit's fine, np lol
3.9 years ago@NebulaSpaceAgency
yeah i know, i meant the point requirements for the ranks (which you already said) but i worded it wrong
3.9 years ago@NebulaSpaceAgency
yeah for number 2 is was mostly asking for the amount of points needed (not like i actually care, just to get a better grasp of things)

tried those too, all 3 are good though
