@SamTheFox i tried koder but it's way too difficult/cluttered for me, plus everything is an icon rather than text which i hate, even worse is that the bug i mentioned exists there too
(it could be handy in the future tho so i'm keeping it)
i've had this issue too, but luckily there's a simple fix
all you have to do is go in settings and enable HDR in the image settings menu, that will enable all of the bloom and whatnot you asked for :)
if you mean that it is possible to use the drawing thing on a phone, then probably yes (in theory) but it's probably very difficult due to the small screen
@Denis814
there is, they just moved it
in the flight menu, scroll to the bottom, open the "options" tab and you'll see both the heat and physical damage sliders
@RazgrizAnderson
hmm so its the chip being dorky?
in that case i'll go see what that changes
and yeah, it's a spaceplane from runway to orbit
strangely, i've made using the "plane" type workable on one of my other crafts, guess not this one though
@Toinkove @CloakPin
in that case, it seems that i actually got it right
this whole post was for Zenith Galaxy 2.0, where one of the major stars, Sirodis, is now a K3 star, and its superhabitable planet Utopia has orange grass, so that's pretty cool that i got it sorta right
@Soilaf
glad i'm not the only one experiencing this (on the PC version at least), for me it also pops up then all of them disappear
as for images, you need to use , in the "link" one you need to get the direct link of an image, i personally use postimages.com but you could use discord, imgur, etc. too, however they will only show once you have over 100 points
i know this is an old post, but i've been upvoting many of the planet posts of some users on the site and as such it might be considered as an "upvote cult", but i upvote them not because i know them or anything, but because i genuinely think they're actually well-made - is this allowed or not?
i'm pretty sure you can technically do that already, simply go into the game's editor and set the engine's fuel type to "Battery", though make sure you adjust everything before because if xou change anything else it will revert back to the normal fuels and you will need to apply it again
EDIT: tried this myself, unfortunately it doesn't work, it makes the thrust and isp and stuff NaN, so yeah, no EV rocket i guess :(
@Buddycat
also, just a question and a minor request related to it:
when can we expect to get the update's own page on the blog and releases page? i haven't checked there yet so idk
as for the request, if/when you do make the update page, could a list of all the career mission/contract types and a simple description for them (no strategies or anything, just what it's about) please be added?
i do wish internal combustion engines existed in JNO/SR2, technically we do have the generator but it's fairly finnicky: if set to burn jet fuel to make electricity which can then power wheels; jet fuel is kerosene, which is somewhat similar to diesel and infact most older diesel cars could in theory run on aircraft kerosene albeit not too great, but still, proper gasoline and ability to choose if you want wheels to run off of either gasoline or electricity (like right now) would be cool
it's basically been dealt with over on SP
idk if they ever appeared over here, but in any case i wanted to make a post about it since due to the similarity between the two sites they could easily hop over to here as well
@Touhoufan
the "material" attribute defines the color that the specific section of a part uses, with 0 being the first color (on the top left of the color menu), 1 coming to the right of it, and so on, going from left to right
for example, if you have the colors as:
0: white
1: gray
2: black
3: blue
4: red
then a part with the materials assigned as 0,1,2,3,4 will have its Primary section colored white, its Trim 1 section as gray, Trim 2 as black, Trim 3 as blue, and Trim 4 as red
i hope this helped you
UPDATE: devs and mods have just shredded a bunch of the scam posts over on SP. more will likely be coming, though, so watch your back and remember to smash the report button on those scrubs!
my apologies if this post sounds "fake" or like a news report... i have to get it out just in case and i definitely want it to be somewhat attention grabbing but not too in-your-face.
just wondering, will it be possible to at least adjust the opacity of the designer UI? while i can't personally test the beta (since i don't have SR2 on PC), i generally dislike translucent UI's, so i was wondering if we will be able to do any adjustments to it once the full thing releases
it doesn't work, it doesn't activate at any mach number
do i need to adjust something on the input controller (like output/axis, min/max values, etc)?
@ChaoticGraviton
try turning terrain physics on (it's in the main tab where you set name, description, radius, etc), if it was already on then it's a bug with the game, i've had it multiple times too
it's 642.5 light years from us, so if it did go supernova it'd have to do so in the 1400's for us to see it
2.2 years ago@SamTheFox i tried koder but it's way too difficult/cluttered for me, plus everything is an icon rather than text which i hate, even worse is that the bug i mentioned exists there too
2.2 years ago(it could be handy in the future tho so i'm keeping it)
@SamTheFox did that multiple times, it doesn't work no matter how many times i close and reopen it
2.2 years agoyou need to edit the system's XML file to allow for numbers bigger than 1000Gm, you can do that with basically any text editor if you're on PC
2.2 years ago@Toinkove yep same here
2.2 years agoyeah, we're lucky that they're only discontinued (unavailable to see in designer but still exist) rather than full-on removed

that, or modify it via xml
2.2 years ago@CloakPin
i dunno, i have the refresh rate set to 60hz and i heard those can affect fps, but idk
2.2 years ago@CloakPin
it was moved to the in-flight menu, it's at the very bottom in its "options" tab

they expect somewhere in late february, obviously this isn't confirmed but that's probably a decent estimate
2.2 years agoXD yeah lol

yeah, hydrogen rocket fuels are notorious for leaking out in the tiniest imaginable gap ever... either way, thanks for the info
2.3 years ago@Toinkove
probably yeah

either the devs, since they put it there in the first place, or planet builders looking in the structures menu

2.3 years agoyeah, exactly the same here
2.3 years ago@TheBirdy
note: i don't have the beta of the game, so i can't check it myself, i have too many things to risk lol
2.3 years agoit's entirely possible if you make the atmosphere short enough in the planet editor
2.3 years agoan actually funny joke or meme - meh
2.4 years agoJimpleRockets2 - [WHEEEEEEEEEEEZE]
yeah, i noticed that too
2.4 years agohowever, in SR2 you can simply enable the ability for normal rocket engines to be usable in warp mode via XML editing
yes, like in the original SR
2.4 years agowhen i get the update it's gonna help speed demons like me a lot lol
@Themaxest
i think it is this video but i am not sure, you may need to use a translator however
2.4 years ago@TTfree479
i see
2.4 years agodoes it stay when you leave PS or no?
edit: tried it, it does stay, even after you leave the game

yes, yes, yes and yes

it is just the ordinary throttle input for the rocket engine, 0 minimum, 1 maximum, output, standard
