If people like replicating SpaceX rockets, why stop them? Every replica has its own unique characteristics - low part count, beautiful visuals, realistic behaviour or great vizzies - and that makes every single replica unique.
What about a bit of both? When you feel like a project needs a lot of detail, make it with a higher part count. When you feel like a project still doesn't look horrible with less parts, try to use less parts. Sorry if this idea is nonsense, I don't know a lot about building.

@lafario I'm not sure about the Drood. As it doesn't seem to have Additional settings (or Tinker panel), I can't think off a way to get its id, or add a flight program. Might be possible by having a look in the XML, but Android doesn't like that.

@NewIIFrontiers On the right hand side of the craft editor there is a button that looks like an head. If you click on it, you can pull the member (left) to the seat/drood/command pod/...(right). If there are no members you have to hire an astronaut ("Hire Astronaut").
Also, in case you don't know, you can get (and maybe even set some, I've never tried that) the properties of the mfd screen itself. Just use the normal blocks (e.g. get widget size) and use _Screen as the widget name. That can be useful for making programs fit different screens.
Since the coordinates on an mfd of one by one meter go from -100 to 100 (so 201 pixels in total) each pixel should be around 0.5cm (At least if you don't tinker the resolution).
The "start" (0, 0) is in the middle of the mfd, the right border has the same x value as the width of the mfd (in centimeters), the top border has the same y value as the height, bottom and left border have the same values, just negative.

Uploading crafts is only possible in the designer (at least in sandbox, I don't think it's different in career). The only way it might be possible is by copying the xml files (Android > Data > com.jundroo.SimpleRockets2 > files > UserData > GameStates > your career > Active > SS crafts). However, accessing those files isn't easy on most Android versions (since your craft was uploaded on Android, I assume that's what you use) and the career and crafts don't have the names you gave them in the files.
