According to the Post Formatting Guide, images are formed as so:

In order to use your own images, you'll need to upload them online.

@67milo well, that was not implied in your post or comments.

If you want a true binary system, there's nothing you can do, but I believe there are suggestions for that. If you want to approximate a binary, you can place a dark barycentre as the actual, then orbit it with two planets that glow really brightly. The anamorphic flares arise naturally out of the stars' overexposed textures, but the lens flare will not appear.

If you'd like, I can try making a system.

@67milo yes, and you can make that the star. You can change its colour, its gravity, and its size. The latter two from PS, the former from System Editor.

With the way stars work in this game, you can edit them just fine.

@cyberport26 I haven't found a craft that can chip switch, nor have I found a part property that allows such a function. Best you can do is program the non-player-controlled chip, then assign parts of the craft to be controlled by that chip to allow for independent function.

    1.3 years ago
  • Profile image

    @cyberport26 WHAT

I found it. You need the craft ID to get it to work. You should find (craft ID of []) in CRAFT INFORMATION. Type a name, and it should spit out an ID you can switch to. The craft probably needs to be loaded, otherwise the programme will not work.

You might have seriously screwed up a part file, especially if you used Overload on it. I easily get that message when I delete a command chip.

@Spitty with how far apart stars are, the map might get completely screwed up due to precision loss at immense distances from the origin. I got this to happen by teleporting an obscene distance upwards, and the map got jittery to the point that the icon representing the player craft was warping in and out of visibility.

This might also apply to planets themselves, but I have not tested that.

As for aesthetic criticism, you definitely do need work in colour and fill consistency, and you would probably be better off trying to paint on the Hershey's Chocolate Bar rather than trying to avoid painting it at all. The lighting is also inconsistent; you show a crescent moon, but the planet is fully lit, as is the chocolate bar. It is also quite hard to read the title.

On the plus, you got the very annoying process of atmosphere shading down almost perfectly. When looking towards the edges of the disk, the oceans and land become gradually bluer and paler, blending in with the atmosphere, but not seamlessly so, establishing a definitive boundary whilst still giving the sky the volume it needs.

Overall, I'd rate it with a 0.65, which isn't bad for someone of your alleged inexperience.

The mods were unable to take away my illegitimate upvote points, meaning it probably wasn't them. We can see it, meaning it might not be a visual bug. Points don't go away when one receives an un-upvote (last I checked).

Spitballing as an idgit with no knowledge, something is probably wrong with the system itself. Would be funny if you got swapped with someone else with a similar name.

P.S.; saw this same thing happen to someone else. They think it is an upvote removal thing. Doesn't make sense, but here we are. Just upvoted and removed it, but your points didn't change.

FunkyTrees is a type of programming in which one can link a single frame to a whole operation. For example, setting a throttle input to "Throttle + ((InputController.Invert / -3) * Yaw)", you would have a throttle which can also respond to yaw inputs. If you have two engines with appropriate mirroring, yawing to the right increases throttle on the left engine and decreases it on the right.

This is an XML guide, and you would most benefit from using the PartModifierScriptProperties tab for FunkyTrees expressions. Note that this works both in the input window and in Vizzy programmes.

@H3itorrrr if you expand the functions fly out (it’s a button that looks like a pair of mountains), then click on a Noise operation, you can scroll down to find the Planet Brush Map. If you have a map, input its file name, and it will immediately take over the generation of terrain. If you don’t, you can just create one after the set up. The paint brush icon contains the prompt to create, import, or edit the map. I’ll upload a demo planet for you.

    1.6 years ago

If I remember correctly, you have to add your brush map into a terrain noise function.

@Cjkb oh, you’re targeting the ship. For that, a landmark does exist, and I think you can target it by its name. If not, then you’ll have to get its LAT LONG co ordinates, then constantly target that.
    Hope this helps,
    Mitya.

    1.6 years ago
  • Profile image

@Cjkb the conversion can be tapped or clicked (depending on the device), and several options are seen. In this case, getting LAT/LONG to PCI and PCI to LAT/LONG are under the same converter. Click it, and you should see them sitting one below the other in the drop down menu.

    1.6 years ago
  • Profile image

@Cjkb if you’re grabbing PCI co ordinates, you don’t need to transpose anything. Your question isn’t quite clear :/

    1.6 years ago
  • Profile image

@Cjkb the target must be constantly updated, or it will deflect due to the rotation of the body.

With the PCI co-ordinate, you need to convert it into a LAT LONG if you’re trying to grab a spot on the planet.
