Well known fact that having upvotes, comments, downloads etc. as a driving factor to make stuff in the game will only get you so far. It's been a relevant argument long before SR2 was a thing and people still think this way in SP with its much longer history. Easy solution is just build for fun, lots of players including myself do it because we enjoy the satisfaction of building. If you treat the game like a social media site with the dopamine rush of upvotes, achievements, and community status, you'll end up resenting and dropping the game like one too.

mod has stepped down from his position as mod. He is still mod, just not a mod. You can call him just mod now and can still call him mod, but not modmod or mod. :(

Upvotes aren't representative of anything, they really shouldn't matter. If you're only spending all that time building and posting for gratification through upvotes, you're playing the wrong game and you're on the wrong website. I don't see why so many people think they amount to anything.

Stop telling people how to use upvotes, the fact that people think they actually amount to anything in the first place is a dumb argument. If you like the craft or like the person you can upvote it. If you think it's cool and flies well, you can upvote it. If you know the person helped you a lot and you'd like to return a favor, you can upvote something. Dictating how people should use what feature is dumb for many reasons, this doesn't help anyone.

Hi, this flew under the radar for a good second until now (for me) but please don't ping other users unless they ask to prior to you making the post. If they ask you to stop, do not do it again - for courtesy reasons. You're not in trouble, but these questions would be better asked if you (for example) mentioned them under a post of one of their builds with questions regarding it, as Hyperant said. ty

Last thing on the changelog is actually tragic. I’m quitting this absolute mess of a “game”. Blocked and I’m writing a complaint to your boss. Good luck being unemployed mister Pedro.

@seventeen That's a poor comparison. There's no copyright surrounding the idea of a fictional space agency here. Nobody would accuse iSpace of copying because they weren't the first person to come up with the idea. This wasn't even an original idea before SR2 released/existed. This has been a thing since KSP. Are you gonna start complaining about everyone here copying KSP now? I doubt it.

Not a fan of the subscription aspect of the game, since SR2 capitalizes on being affordable with plenty of content. I'd be more fond of a slight increase of the base price of the game to give everyone who can afford the game an opportunity to use all the content available in the game. This is an awesome concept though.

You don’t need to @ me 8 times on one post. Cut it before another strike happens please. Either use the report function or @ someone on the mod team once, but don’t flood the comment section. It’s common sense. You said not even 48 hours ago that you understand what you did and that you wouldn’t do it again, but the comments here show otherwise.

Second, bmnk was banned for spam pinging, the exact same thing you are doing - not for being underage. None of what you said here contributed to the strike on his record but it may to yours. @PZLAgencies

Go into your game files (if you are on PC/mac, this is the only way it can work)

    c:\Users(username)\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\Simplerockets2\Userdata\PhotoLibrary\Thumbnails

you then open and edit the thumbnails in your photo manipulation program of choice and export them as a PNG at the same resolution

    upload and it's done.

    >>CameraManagerScript..SetCameraFov (insert number)

I'd recommend using this script in the dev console if you want an FOV of 20 or lower. I use an FOV of 10 for my screenshots but if it's between 30 and 10 it should be just right for screenshots. Make sure your craft fills the entire screen and be sure to take the screenshot facing away from your light source if it's during the day.

We have half the lore of SP and a lot of of it takes place off-site (from what i've experienced, discord.) Unlike SP where the game peaked before discord was really a thing, people would congregate on the site. Now people use what they want. It's entirely different is what I can say. There are no real equivalents but there are still "events" that are called back to sometimes. The only comparison I can think of is the sheer number of P-51s on SP and Starships here. Who would've guessed :P

@ZeusSpaceAgency The grading is admittedly harsh, but it's because we needed to have a fair spread between the submissions in descending order. The increments in grading give builds a way more harsh (or favorable, depending on which one you look at) grade compared to if every category was on a scale of 1 to 20 or 1 to 100. You did great tho

    +1 8 months ago
  • Profile image

@NellEngineer It's not the turning, it's the acceleration and liftoff speed that affected the grade in that specific category. The takeoff run of the aircraft is just about 2-3 times the length of the plane, making it a (frankly extreme) version of STOL function for that configuration. The added high acceleration from 0 to liftoff speed in a span of less than 10 seconds. Aircraft of that size and configuration really can't do that in real-world situations without a headwind.
    .
The wing ripping was an entirely different aspect that affected the grade in a separate category (flight test), not realism. Without load it was manageable. Under load, the aircraft suffers quite a bit more and made it very difficult to pass the flight test under load. Just a disclaimer, that flight test is a takeoff from DSC (ali) to the space center. It has very few turns and changes to heading, but despite that still suffered overload in moderate heading correction maneuvers.

@StellaSpaceAgency Write four spaces before the text you want to put in. This only works if the four spaces are the first characters of the new line and can't be done in comments like images.

Your presence in the community offsite can boost your popularity on the website. People often interact on discord, VK, and bilibili. Making friends or just being well-known off site combined with the genre of your build affects reception. The more niche things like cars, boats, and art might not get as much recognition like a rocket or plane in some cases 👍

Bots have been a thing on both sites. It's a lot easier to get rid of them here because the site traffic is lower so there isn't much to go through. The most important part is that users DO NOT click the link, even if the post doesn't sound very suspicious. These sites can steal more than your SR/SP password information, they can steal all usernames/passwords saved on your browser. Don't do what this SP user did, you will likely lose your account and you won't be able to get it back. Report the post and move on. If enough reports go through, the post will get automatically removed without moderator intervention as well.
