HOPPER | SKYDANCER
Skydancer is a single-stage, reusable prototype designed and manufactured by ISX to allow experimental flight tests of reusable rockets that perform vertical takeoffs and landings. Reusability allows ISX to re-fly the most expensive parts of the rocket, which drives down the cost of space access.

FLIGHT HISTORY
Skydancer made eight successful test flights in 2021 and 2022 before being retired. Further expansion of the flight test envelope for the reusable rocket was moved to descending Eagle boosters that had been used on orbital flight trajectories on commercial orbital flights of the Eagle.
SHOCK ABSORBER
Skydancer features a custom-made shock absorber design to land. A shock absorber allows us to launch and land softly.
