Hi Everyone!

As I'm sure some of you may have noticed, ESS Lore Volume 1 - Eternal Winter has been releasing weekly over the last month. Chapter 4 was released today and the plot is beginning to thicken! For players who have downloaded the latest ESS version I would really recommend checking out the lore, as it connects to and explains many of the explorable locations found in the system.

I've been having some difficulties getting the forum platform working well for this sort of project, so I'll be including a links tree here to each chapter and linking it in my bio to make the lore more accessible. Links to the previous and next chapter are at the top and bottom of each chapter's post, as well.

@JastroOne1 Ok, thank you. I am trying to get the precise locations for the stock solar system so that I can start build the trinary system, I've been working on. I am also actually building the base this time, so it is not a copy of Droo.

@Gen3ralInterstel1ar No problem, precise values for all the orbital characteristics are set in the system XML, found under UserData\CelestialDatabase\PlanetarySystems. If you browse through the relevant file you'll find that the planet codes are referenced first, then their positions and orbital parameters. It's pretty self explained from there, so you should be good.

Sorry to bother you again, but how do you get precise Semi-Major access points in the Solar system editor when trying to recreate a solar system.

@Gen3ralInterstel1ar So before I began writing the actual chapters, I made a really short version of the entire plot and then filled in background information for all the main characters, ships and locations. Each "chapter" in the plot is about a tenth of its length in the actual story. The process I follow is to take each of these short chapters and write them into the full versions, highlighting off each bit as I go. This helped me speed up the writing process a lot, so that now each chapter takes only 3-4 hours to make, including time for proofreading and releasing.
