@Bmcclory agreed, really only changed it for simpleplanes, and forgot both sites use the same thing. lame. The Mandalorian is great if you have lost faith in anything good coming from Star Wars lately.

@wwwNews222com blender is a free open source modeling program that anyone can download. You are confusing modders with moderators.

@wwwNews222com The mods were chosen because they were active in the community and well liked. They were players first and foremost, but have their own following just like any top tier player. Considering a flying eye ball bested them, I think any creative and skill worthy craft would have knocked them out of the race. They made crafts that were also inside jokes, so the community responded in kind, meaning they competed to their best ability using that knowledge to win. That didnt come with being a mod, it came from being active in the community. Reacting like this to the system will only hurt your ability to make friends on this site, and all in all, its just a game. If you dont like it, dont compete in the challenges. Considering this was the first official Jundroo point based challenge, you can get to the top of the users list without winning. I encourage the Mods to enter because they are players with a thankless job that try to keep the peace, and get no glory what so ever. So if they win, it was the players who chose, and the mods deserve it just as much as anyone one else.

@PositivePlanes yes to all, and im sure it will have customizable controls in the end.

@pedro16797 that is a goal worth pushing for, as with everything in the game it will likely become more modular in the end.

@KitKart one small step for simple-man, one giant leap towards career mode.

@KitKart roles probably, helmets not so much yet. Keeping it pretty ambiguous who is inside for now.

@Sneezitz will make sure to push for that, maybe a "keep busy" default animation, and definitely keep their proximity in mind. Maybe what they do is determined by their role in the crew....

    +4 4.4 years ago

@Sneezitz That would be out of my realm of expertise to give a definitive answer to, I only make them look like they could do that. but controlling multiple crewmen is on the list to do and I know is happening.

@SupremeDorian there will be quite a few things these dude or dudettes will be able to interact with in the end.

@KitKart We decided the plain old human shtick was the way to go for SR2. Cute green Franken- dwarves were out of the option, and every other form of astronaut has been done before. Decided to imitate life rather than invent new forms of it. Im sure a mod will come out to change it to any species you could imagine, with different blood types and gender assignments. So there is always the future to look forward to.

@KitKart Designs will be limited to pilot types and colors for now, so making a custom designs wont be happening, yet. Not saying things wont be modular in the end if that is what you are asking.

@MarioG not saying there wont be pilots too tho...

@Bmcclory different suits from different eras and nations.

@MarioG right now we are staying away from that, just bare bones EVAs that fill a basic role. Trust me, i would love to deck this thing out with every option, but performance will be a big issue as usual. Who is inside of it is left to your imagination lol

@Bmcclory it wont be as realistic as this concept in the end, but we are going to push for a more sim like approach with the final game result. Ideally I would like to have multiple types of astronauts to choose from, but we will see where it ends.

@swope it was never really meant to be "the" shuttle carrier, just a nod to one, hence the ambiguous name. The command chip stuff will hopefully be a thing of the past for jets in future updates, along with a few other things already on this version. As soon as the updates roll out, this bird will get the parts accordingly. For now, it is more or less a showcase to what you can make for now, and meant to be a base to build upon and fine tune to your liking. Its faaaaaaaaar from perfect, and as simple as I can let it be.

Nowadays a variety of software, including text and plug-ins, can generate semi-random "lorem-like text", which often has little or nothing in common with the canonical adaptations other than looking like (and often being) jumbled Latin.
