They're working on modding support. At the moment, I don't think they're working on the Mobile version yet since there's more important things that need to be done first.
Reminds me of when everyone on Spaceflight Simulator was asking 'when update' to the point where Stef (the developer) was practically begging for them to stop. Thankfully though that isn't the case anymore. Everyone for the most part is waiting patiently for the update. These people, though..
As @Kell said, we are getting annoyed at the amount of times this is being asked, especially when an account is made just to ask when the mobile release is.
"When can we expect the mobile (iOS/Android) release?"
We will begin development in early 2019. At this point, it is too early to give a release date estimate. Once we’ve started to peel the onion back we’ll have a better grasp on how long it will take to get the mobile version blasting off.
PLEASE stop asking, guys. This has been asked hundreds of times already
@Shoot2kill My PC isn't good enough to make something of that size. I'm talking about something you can actually drive/pilot in-game. If I had the PC necessary for this I'd totally try it though.
I made an SR-71 a few months ago using only Jet Engines and could get pretty easily get it to 30km, without doing any nosedives to gain speed. With nosedives, it could probably go higher, but I haven't tried that.

In its current state, SimpleRockets 2 would not run very well on a lot of mobile devices. They still need to get it out of early access, as well as making it able to run smoothly on a mobile device. They've been asked this question probably hundreds of times at this point, and the answer has always been the same.
@Kell I wouldn't say tinkering is dishonorable. It is genuinely useful at times. For example, one could use it to make a large Heat Shield out of an empty fuselage. It has useful properties, but can easily be abused.
@Kell Chill dude. A lot of KSP videos adopt the same style from one another. Let him do his thing and don't get defensive over something that resembles the way you made your video.
@PhilipTarpley @AndrewGarrison So much progress has been made since the initial early access release of SimpleRockets 2 and I am genuinely impressed with how quickly you get big updates out. I think that after this update is in full release, you guys deserve a break for as long as you need it. You've worked hard and have made more progress in 5 months than a lot of other Indie developers do in a year. So again, you guys deserve a break for being such a good development team. :)
@PlanesofJundroo You know there's a suggestions page, right? Speaking of which, @AndrewGarrison could you make my Inflatable Heat Shield suggestion visible?
@AndrewGarrison To be honest I was hoping for SimpleWheels 2 in 4D. I am very disappointed as I do not have a VR headset and you can expect to be hearing from my Lawyers very soon. Good day to you sir.
@AndrewGarrison Would it be possible to automatically change the build mode of a plane that was made before the update? Because it says my SR-71 is set to Rocket mode and when I switch to Plane mode it rotates it into a rocket orientation.
I'm assuming there will be an actual button on the website to go to the mods page after the full release of this update?
+3 6.1 years agoYep.
+3 6.1 years ago@PorkyClown3 I might be able to do this, but I'll need to practice with making cars first.
6.1 years ago@Kell Oh, stop it. We all know the horrors of war, you don't need to remind everyone of them for making a simple comment.
