It is not clear that this will ever be made. Here is their quote on the roadmap regarding mobile, "We plan to investigate all of these, but it is possible that some of them may never make it through the research and development phase for unforeseen reasons.", although I hope you are right.
I have been playing Simple rockets since there were no save games and you only had one shot to do difficult tasks like landing and returning from Smars. Lots of good memories and I still play it to this day. I can't wait for SR2.
