me personally, i use SSAO and realtime reflections mostly to make things work, i like to keep some space for my crafts, even if they are less than 1000 parts
plus i get no lag like that (i use a pretty good PC)

@MirazAerospace i think you may have found something, i zoomed in alot and noticed a kind of gaseous halo around some of the stars, could be a galaxy or nebula,
but theres an abnormal amount of colored "stars", so it might be some kind of static, because cameras can capture color (if done right), but there arent that many galaxies/nebula visible from our planet for what your seeing to make sense... but idk (amateur astronomer who reads too many books on space lol)

I haven't tried myself, but I think all you have to do is add transparency to the paint (custom paint, very bottom slider)
