the OAM-1 was a lightweight miner designed to be used in a vacuum for mining ore from asteroids, small moons and other objects with low gravity. It proved to be an especially effective miner because it was the first to utilise rock drills, which meant it could extract only the most resource-rich part of a surface, instead of having to haul the entire object to an orbital station, and it could mine parts of an object which would be too heavy to haul.

FEATURES: custom moving cockpit, articulated drills, spinning emergency lights, custom adaptive thrusters.

USER MANUAL:
slider 1 up - systems online.
activate 1 + slider 2 up - cockpit opens
activate 2 - drills
activate 3 - headlights
activate 4 - emergency lights
activate 9 - solar panels
activate 0 - RCS

KNOWN ISSUES:
sometimes the game re-atatches parts of the cockpit to the main body, which stops it from working. there are a lot of parts and it's really annoying to have to check each one.

using this thing at all is really hard and requires a lot of tweaking of the autopilot. despite instability the COM is in line with the COT.

when you exit and re enter the astronaut, none of the activation groups will work because it's actually controlled by a capsule in the centre. re enter into that capsule to control it (it's behind the cockpit).

for some reason this costs negative 2bn USD. probably because there are some negative values in there to make the thrust work.

    drills would be soooooo awesome!
but if we do get drills theyll probably be bore tubes to collect data rather than materials. since theres no building in the simulator.
