@Thatflyingboi false, most birds are less aerodynamically efficient than modern jet aircraft.
They are incredibly more efficient when it comes to lift and propulsion however.
Your mistake was probably forgetting that before you can compare the aerodynamic efficiency of the two, you have to adjust the values for the difference in scale between the two objects.
