Auto Credit Based on OrbitalSailorsAerospace's FX-01 "Owl Mk-1"

Meet the Stinger-01 (SG-01) "Owl Mk-2" (i swear I can count higher than 2), OSAS' most feature packed fighter plane yet. After a long development time and many hiccups on the way, we are glad to announce that the Owl Mk2 is finally ready for use.

Similar to its predecessor, this aircraft is another component of Project Ptero, but this time, it serves a distinct purpose. The aircraft was designed as an escort fighter/interceptor, armed with air-to-air missiles, and stands as one of our fastest airplanes.

Features (and some useless details):

(Everything made by other players is credited below)

  • 18 air-to-air missiles (semi-functional, they fire but they cannot track targets)
  • 3 different fire modes:
-- Single: One missile at a time
-- Double: Two missiles at a time
-- Unload: Every missile in sequence untill its out of ammo
  • A fancy HUD
  • A very fancy radar
  • An ejection system
  • A system that automatically disables one of the 2 pairs of ailerons at a specified speed so that you don't turn your jet into a centrifuge when your going mach 2
  • A fully custom built cockpit (utilizing the puppeteering feature)
  • (This one is not connected but the code is there) An experimental vizzy that tries to simulate G-LOC (loss of consciousness due to high G-Forces)

How to fly:

  • All action groups are labeled
-- For the ejection system, press AG 10 two times within 5 seconds. If only pressed once the ejection sequence will not begin
  • Slider 1: Pitch fine tune (this adjusts the horizontal stabilizer's AoA from 0° to 1° or -1°. It is meant to facilitate achieving level flight at high speeds)
  • Takeoff speed: ~95m/s
  • Stall speed: ~85m/s
  • Max speed: ~750m/s (~mach 2.2)
  • Max altitude: 15000-20000m
  • Range: 1300km+ (without afterburner)

Note: Do not launch missiles or detach the pylons while pitching up. For some reason i couldn't understand (and couldn't fix) when you do that the object (be it the missile or the pylon) just goes up and sticks to the wing, this may cause some "unwanted rapid disassembly" of the wing.
Good thing there's that ejection system huh

If you find yourself trying to understand my vizzy i have a tip for you: don't (jk)
My code is a confusing messy pile of blocks and variables that actually work for some reason (im referring to the missile systems on the part "freedom box"). There's probably a better way to do it but considering my vizzy skills, if it's working i no longer touch it.

Missiles: one of the missiles of the Lechita weapons pack v1 by Nico412 with slight modifications to cut down on the part count.

Radar display: the very fancy Radar Display by HoverArrow i was legit amazed by this
