If you ever wanted a little more excitement when launching your beautiful creations into space than this is perfect for you. JNO Launch Failure is a vizzy program that, as the name implies, adds the possibility of a failure at launch.
With this cube on your craft any "critical" part has a chance of malfunctioning anywhere between 0 and 80km so you can have that extra thrill when launching.

NOTE: You're going to want to attach the cube to your command pod/disc or anywhere you will have on your craft at all times during the ascent.

Changelog

  • Added a new type of failure: Navigation glitch. This will make rocket point to a random direction and com back after a few seconds;
  • Added a config area for easier tweaking;
  • Reorganized the code;
  • Changed how engine failures work. Now instead of just exploding there are 2 possibilites: Oscillation followed by explosion or just turning the engine off permanently;
  • Changed it so that engines will only fail if/when they are activated;
  • Added the option to lock engine failures to be within the specified altitude limit (toggled on by default).

Features

- Failures:
- Engine malfunction causing shutdown
- Engine malfunction causing oscillation and explosion
- Interstages and side interstages prematurely activating
- Fairings prematurely activating
- Navigation "Glitch"

-Numbers:
- 20% chance of failure by default (tweakable)
- Failure can happen from 0 to 80km by default (tweakable)

-Funny messages when a part fails (most from ChatGPT)
Those include:
- "It's not rocket science, they said"
- "We have a(nother) problem.... "
- "Someone spilled their coffee on the "do not press" buttons again"
And many more

    @OrbitalSailorsAerospace you'll find it in the FlightProgram hidden properties, but it won't do anything. Already tried it myself. You might just need to give it some battery capacity and a way to retain said power.

    I'm going to use this a lot.

    Make its energy requirements 0 so that the "programme has run out of battery" doesn't override your funny messages.
