Auto Credit Based on SomeGuy000's Orion Class Corvette

Warniiiiinnng LORE!(Suggested read it has some things you should do to properly fly the craft.): The Orion Class Corvette, Designed at Niobe Shipyards as part of the Empire of the stars fleet modernization program:.

MOBILITY:Is a Small Fast Attack Corvette Affording a modest interplanetary range and an inability to operate in atmosphere or take off in large gravity wells. Despite this, The Orion has extraordinary Maneuvering capabilities, with a very powerful Reaction control system, the Rear drive cones having moderate thrust and the ability to gimbal, Frontal Drives, and a small Gyroscopic stabilizer inside the vessel. Her Frontal Drives also have the interesting quirk of acting as a sort of Pseudo Armour, having the ability to simply absorb Coilgun rounds and other munitions, but pose some glaring weaknesses such as emitting a much larger heat signature allowing for much faster and more accurate Thermal Weapon locks and, if the drive is penetrated, it has a high chance of hitting and setting off the fuel tanks shortly behind the drive, crippling or outright destroying the ship. AND it transfers much more energy from glancing blows, because instead of a round passing right through dealing minimal damage, the drive will slow it down a lot, so not only can you no longer use your frontal drives, but you are now facing the wrong way, which completely throws off the aim of the Orion's Spinal Coilgun. However, The benefits of movement it gives strongly outweighs its downsides, because it allows the Orion to still fire even if it is being chased.

WEAPONRY: The Orion is Armed with a single Deimos Dynamics 8 Inch Coilgun which is underslung under the hull and allows the Orion to pack a punch well above its size but at the cost of having no Point Defense weaponry and being very vulnerable to torpedoes.

DEFENCE: On the other Hand she was built with defense in mind. Not only is the hull very sloped from the front but it is also surprisingly armored for her small size, and is designed to defend against the lethally effective Shotgun based weaponry the Current Eris Class Employs. However, The Orion is Deathly allergic to Torpedoes and Rail/Coilguns.

TACTICS: One of the most common tactics employed by Orion class Vessels is a sort of Pack Tactic, where three or more Orion's either seek out or lie and wait for enemy vessels or fleets to pass, then jumping them with combined coilgun fire to disable or destroy large vessels with ease and then use their speed to escape. It allows for quick and Decisive action, that even if the vessel or fleet is not 100% disabled or Destroyed, put the enemy on the defensive, helping to clear the way for much more powerful and mainstay empire warships.

General Knowledge: The Orion Class Has room For Two Crew members and one passenger in 2 of her three rooms, She has a Crew and storage room in the middle of the ship, hosting all the amnities, such as main bunks and restrooms, as well as small cooking stations and a medbay for longer range missions, this is also where internal systems can be accessed: She has an airlock room toward the end of the ship, designed to seamlessly blend in with the exterior hull, and the front of the vessel Houses her Quarterdeck/ Bridge, Which has an extra foldout bunk. (Hince the 2 crew one passenger) This actual presents a pretty good tactical advantage, in that the crew can work in shifts in All sorts of missions allowing for quick and snappy Crew response times, as well as having a more rested and functional crew. Although the ship can be operated by one person, it is generally not recommended and is extremely difficult because not all systems can be worked. She posses a Powerful Sensor Suite at the front of the vessel, allowing the acquisition of targets much faster and further than her predecessors and Rivals in the imperium, further Aiding her fast attack style.

Vehicle Design Quirks: Due to Her Exorbitantly powerful RCS system, it is usually wise to turn it off during burns, because it has a tendency to make the Navigation systems go haywire (Actual problem lol) Nearly All Drive System repairs and Sensor Repairs have to be done from outside the ship, which amounts to some Crews always wearing their EVA suits incase something breaks.
Her Nameplate lights are Tied into the Nav Light breakers, which allows them to be turned off and on for that SLIGHTEST extra bit of Stealth.

CONTROLS: Controls like a rocket. But instead of stages has activation groups and HERE THEY ARE:1. Primary Rear Drives2.Foreward Drives
3. Secondary Rear Drives (for Precise movement and added Acceleration when paired with the primary Drives)
4.Nav (navigation) Lights
5.Docking lights
6.Nothing
7.Nothing
8.Nothing
9.Solar Panels
10. Reaction Control System (RCS)
Slider one is for Radiators

As always, Enjoy the Craft, Feel Free to use to your liking, with proper credit of course. Have fun!

I mean the nearly instant switch from prograde to retrograde without reorienting your ship is invaluable on its own tbh.

They have many benefits and drawbacks, like they cant be used if you have a frontal docking port lest you torch whatever you docking, but they allow for propulsion in probably the two most important ways in space combat, Especially if your defenses and offensive armament can only fire directly forward or in forward arcs.
