@HermesE also, the intention is to take off vertically, then arc over during ascent to fly parallel to the ground below 10km at hypersonic speeds(based off the rules of the challenge on SRC discord)

The main issues I have are a complete lack of control during staging. It works fine all the way till I activate the second stage, then it flips wildly until it's velocity is <500m/s before it regains control until doing it again with the last stage. I had the same issue with the first version and couldn't get it to work despite trying literally everything I could think of so I started over just to end up at the same point(although this one works waaaay better still). Also the last 2 stages are srb, but the first is methalox?(Icr)

Just a lot of fiddling with engines. Use hydrolox, it's the least dense fuel, making it fairly light. Or use a srb.
@Arstotzka took me a minute, but yes it is! I read a book called "Eye of the Needle" about a WW2 German spy named "Die Nadel" and thought that was a perfect name for a needle-like rocket. Lol good job being the first to notice!
