story arc

Launched from the moon dockyards in 2173, Hibiki was one of the last vessels of the H-class. Considered outdated as the Isokaze-class entered service.

Assigned primarily to inner-system patrol duty, Hibiki rarely operated alone. She was often paired with one or two sister ships, forming a "pocket fleet". Her crew grew close in those long stretches of routine, arguing about payment, and fixing the bathroom. For many of them, She was their first ship. Tho for some, she would be their last.

Her early years in combat were skrmishes with Marsnoid fleets. But the ship SOMEHOW always endured.

When tasked to join the assault on Phobos Fortress, She barely survived. Her port side was nearly torn open. But she manage to limped away under emergency thrust. She returned to dockyards nearly destroyed, carrying survivors from other more unlucky ships within her cargo bays.

When the Terron-Gamilan "defensive" War erupted, Hibiki was reassigned from patrol to rescue operations. She pulled escape pods from debris fields. Her cargo bay once meant for long term patrol supply, became makeshift shelters.

But as Earth’s fleet dwindled, there were no reserves left. No newer ships wating in orbit. Even vessels that are obsolete were pressed again into frontline defense.

She was reassigned again, and her final deployment placed her near a lunar outpost .

Her crew knew the odds.

Her hull finally gave way, above the gray horizon.
