D.R.O.M. stands for Droo Reconisance Observation and Mapping
The DROM satellite is a smaller satellite with the purpose of mapping out, observing and providing reconnaissance of Droo or any other planet/moon you are willing to send it to.
With an expected lifetime of up to a year, the DROM is helpful to find a way to really appreciate the beauty of whatever planet you find yourself orbiting.
