The Long March 5 B carrier rocket is an improved carrier rocket developed on the basis of the Long March 5. It is a new-generation carrier rocket with the largest carrying capacity in low Earth orbit in China, with a total length of 53.7 meters, it has a take-off weight of 837.5 tons and a low earth orbit carrying capacity of more than 22 tons.

At 18:00 p.m. of May 5, 2020, the Long March-5 B carrier rocket completed its first flight at the Wenchang rocket launch site of China, and its maiden flight was a complete success.
