This is probably the most exciting dev blog I've made to date! We have finished work on the three largest moons for ESS 3.0 - Urados Dusk.
Development has been accelerating over the last month, with Pedro finishing Taurus & the biome mapping for Orcus. I have been completing the final changes to Miros, and have put a lot of hours into Orcus, too. As a result, we are currently on target for a release date at some point in March, hopefully we can give an actual date within a few weeks.
Miros
1st up, the innermost of the large moons. This dark body is scarred with huge cracks, or grabens, and has extensive tholin deposits on its poles.
Orcus
Themed on Neptune's moon Triton, this is the most challenging body i have attempted to date. Moons with little terrain variation but awkward colours are always difficult!
Taurus
Finally, the furthest moon from Urados to be declassified -- based on Saturn's moon Titan. 100% Pedro's work, this one shows what can be done with some clever programming. The game does not support opaque atmospheres, but we developed a system whereby the map normals replicate the effect of hydrocarbon smog in the upper atmosphere.

even when i click download (pc/mac) it wants me to do something else. i cannot find the readme file.
could some please help me out? i have been trying to download ess and real engines. in have a windows 10 pc. can anyone step me through this. im having trouble knowing where to go.

id really love to see more planets in this too (mabye places like mercury or venus mabey asteroids dwarf planes (you dont have to im just suggesting) the more planets in the game the more planets to explore :)

Hi people. I'm having trouble transferring my mobile account over to my PC steam account. I purchased the game twice with each email and can't seem to get my beta status back. Help

Quick update: ESS 3.A Closed Alpha Test has been released to our loyal team of Guinea pigs, so we are definitely on target for a release this month!
Can confirm that it works on Android like the previous versions.

i love these planets this might be my favorite of them all (of planet mods)
yay more planets ill be happy to see urados rings from a planet :p and my astronauts can go farhter now and actually land somewhere

@DeboStreams nobody needs to feel like they have to play ESS lol! I really appreciate the offer, but we have several players in mind for the initial test that we will be sending the early access files to. 🙂
I totally agree on the mobile betas, the community needs to give jundroo more kudos. They have done an incredible job making this game, and especially as mobile users are often the newest members to the community it's only reasonable for them to show respect.
