How do cosmonauts enter the Soyuz?

If you’ve been watching Soyuz launch, you might have seen it has a fairing shroud. But how do cosmonauts get in? That would be very strange, and NOT KERBAL, however they do it.

That’s so hard! And silly! But the new Orel will give Russia’s cosmonauts the American experience! It’s got a design similar to Orion!

The Soyuz spacecraft is hidden under the fairing of the rocket and everyone knows this, first the astronauts pass through a special door on the fairing and get into the ship through the hatch into the Orbital Module and sit down in the Descent Module

The same way Orion will on SLS if Orion ever finishes its verification tests enough to fly on SLS. Orion is over two years behind schedule and could make the first SLS launch in late 2021 impossible.
