Zeta B1002.0 on the newly upgraded launch complex.

Following a successful static fire, Max-Q Aerospace is preparing to launch our second Zeta rocket (B1002.0). The flight is targeted for 6:32 am on the 22nd of April. Backup opportunities are open on the 24th and 26th. The launch will be from Pad 1, which has undergone upgrades since Zeta's last flight, mostly to the pad and fuel systems. This launch will boost Max-Q's first commercial mission into a 140km x 200km orbit.

This flight will be the second launch of the Zeta rocket. Following stage separation, the booster will reorient itself prograde in preparation for re-entry. It will utilize an extending nose cone stored in the base of the interstage. This approach will attempt to keep the engines out of the saltwater as the stage decsends on parachutes.

While no full recovery attempt will be made on this flight, the teams at Max-Q will be monitoring the controlled first stage until it hits the water.
