It will be a great option for auto control for Anyone who want to be like Elon.
You can have lots of customizations like how long till the engines will run till shut down, how long the engine will burns, which altitude the engines will fire again, ect.
There would be a button on the screen for you to turn this mode on/off

@AndrewGarrison it's very similar to your post but I think this adds one idea (I don't know if this is part of the original idea or my own interpretation)
It would be nice to have a base code for casual gamers that just want to press launch and see it get to orbit and that would be cool for learning how to use the ingame code based on an example
