Weird bug, not easily explained in a small title form. What's essentially happening here is the BF3 APC bug. You throw the astronaut at the water really hard and he bounces back into the air with just as much momentum if not MORE. I've been dropping him from around 800m and he hits water at 92m/s and then skyrockets back towards the sky at over 150m/s

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Load sandbox
  2. Click on astronaut and take control
  3. Watch as the astronaut falls to the water.
  4. Notice that the astronaut will 9 times out of 10 shoot back into the sky with great momentum. Most of the times more than he entered with.

(edit 1: All settings are very low or off, except shadows and atmosphere - going to test with all high soon)
(edit 2: Seems like it isn't an issue with ultra high settings. Sometimes this bug works and sometimes not. I'll go make a video so you guys know I'm not going mad! Lol)

I am not able to reproduce this in the current version due to changes since the original beta. I went back to the original 0.9.0.0 branch and still couldn't repro it, but I believe I probably know what made it occur.

In the latest beta there is a bugfix which I believe likely addressed the underlying issue:
"Fixed bug where saving/reloading could cause astronauts in a crew compartment to be extremely light and handle strangely (fast speed, super high jumps) after taking control of them. Also fixes bug where you can get shot out of the water at high speeds."

Of course, let me know if you continue to see anything like this. I have not been able to repro any weird behavior when hitting the water at high speeds in the latest version. The astronaut does currently behave differently for different water physics settings, but I am planning on making a change to force the astronaut to high physics regardless of the setting b/c they just handle weird in the water on lower settings.
