It would be very nice to have the splatmap textures have two "parts" for both an albedo/diffuse map and normal/bump map.

    @Insanity Yep, I think that the reason it doesn't is that people don't understand what I'm even suggesting, let alone the benefits of having such feature implemented (not needing high LOD for the ground to look good, terrain textures that don't disappear at dusk...).
