I looked around and only 2 people suggested "Air Brakes", one of the suggestion description was "So I can land my plane at 300m". They wrote it to only benefit them. I'm not here to start controversy, I am here to write why I believe "AirBrakes" would be super helpful if they were added into the game and how others would use them.

My opinion on "Air Brakes" :
"Air Brakes" in SimplePlanes helped so much when it came to slowing your aircraft down. Now in SimpleRockets2 people are making so many Jets and SSTO's without any proper way of slowing the craft down. Not a huge update but a great Idea.

How I believe others will use the "Air Brakes" :
The people who create the amazing replica planes/jets or even some of their own designs will most likely use these to their advantage to provide a more realistic feel to the runway approach. "Air Brakes" dont have to be only used for planes/jets. They can also be used right after reentry into Droo's atmosphere on a stock or custom command pod if you wanted to slow down your decent when landing in the ocean.

Thanks for reading.

i make airbrakes using a hinge rotator and a structural panel with wing properties eneabled and in the input thing i just type: Brake
and if doesn't work i just invert the input

@KraZIvan You can use a fuselage instead of a wing to generate drag without messing with the lift

@pedro16797 The problem with this approach (which I do use since it's the only way to have an airbrake action on the wings) is that this doesn't spoil the airflow over the wing, but it creates an additional lift and drag component which can affect AOA and maneuverability. But to be fair since airbrakes are mainly intended to be used during the landing roll this is often not a big deal and your advice is a good workaround to not having a true airbrake for now.

@pedro16797 yes but they don’t work properly

You can make them with just two parts (hinge+strut, wing, fuselage, fin... you name it)
