Now you can run an engine for hours and it will stil be at about 15ºC. What about making the engine get hotter with time so we have a limit of use? What about making the nozzle go red and turn white when almost broken due to temperature?

EDIT: Another cool feature would be to make all parts inside of the plume heat up too

My suggestion could probably be implemented as part of this - engines having an optimal temperature at which they should be to run, and/or at which they need to be to start up could solve my abuse - you can’t go starting an engine up repeatedly because it’ll heat soak and not be able to start.

This needs to be made but add a tinker panel setting to it where it will not heat up or take heat damage.

@pedro16797 ah, i didn't know what, I do like your idea of engines glow intensity and color based on engine temperatures

@KraZIvan There're some suggestions proposing integrity in all the parts

Perhaps the engines can be set to "consume health" due to their own heat, in the same way reentry heat consumes heat shielding on heat shields or fuselages with heat shielding during reentry. This would give engines a set amount of time in service before they explode from overuse/overheat.
