Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System, being larger than only Mercury. It is often referred to as the "Red Planet" because it has a rusty, red surface.

- Mars is split into biomes, with different splat map textures pertaining to different biomes
- New splat map textures
- Ground detail textures, based on Mars Express' HRSC data, with different ones applied in each biome, and slopes
