Have you try turning of heat damage? Thatswhat ido if I don't want parts to get damaged by heat.
I've never encountered that issue, Altho there is one were you rocket spins about when you try to get in a stable orbit.

@Siyfae yh same here the heading lock also starts playing up at a certain altitude when you in a jet, I wonder if there's a way to fix it.
@Zenithspeed The heat- shields max temperature is 3252.9°C how do I increase that to a number of my choosing?
