@Arstotzka the SAS does seem to work. The problem is that it is built for X-Wings and this is the weight of three star destroyers. Also I have 5 of the most powerful gyros you can have.
New Shepard’s are really hard to code. They are very fast action. Especially with the capsule having to safely land. But it is possible. I can give an example code for you in a few hours.
@Jerba A. More wheels will balance out the bouncing and the weird rpm’s. B. The wheel motors aren’t really built for moving the craft more than a few meters. Also they need battery power to operate.
@Arstotzka trust me I tried. I have 15 rotators paired with 15 pistons. That didn’t work. Finally I got a stuctural engineer that I know. That didn’t work. This was my last resort.
@MitusAerospace actually I believe you can. In fact @KellyNyanBinary got a copyright claim for her delta v map. Although that was only Creative Commons.
@KuiperAerospace I wish I could suggest tinkering, but as you know I am not a fan of it. What I suggest put an inlet that covers engines (or anything else going beyond the range of normal legs) and then just translating the legs downwards toward the bottom of inlet. It is simple but still looks good.
