ORION
Kepler Aerospace's launch vehicle, Orion is a expendable medium lift launch vehicle designed to carry critical payloads and crew to orbit. Orion is designed for a series of different payloads, including deploying satellite networks, national security, communication satelites, resupply cargo missions, and eventually crewed vehicles. Orion is planned to be our workhors capable of carrying up to 35 metric tons of cargo to Low Droo Orbit in a fully expendable configuration.
In order to compensate for lowering costs of the vehicle, Orion's first stage will typically splashdown in the ocean following stage seperation. Marine assets will tow the stage back to port and the engines will be refurbished and reused for a future flight.
