Well, if you tied yourself up and pulled it until it collided, it was obvious that it was going to explode since even though it is a solid part, the 3d render can pass the structures and make them explode that's why the astronauts were designed with a jetpack rcs

@ISTINC0RP0RATED I did a spacewalk abd tethered to a module abd it destroyed everything.

The station was designed for EVA's and the parts counter is the correct one so that the structures are solid, approaching the modules is something else, with rcs it is safe since there are no colission forces.
But if you tie and pull it with force there is a risk of explosion due to overpressure, believe me I have done experiments in the game to check the robustness of my creations.
