Individual parts shift position and angles in assemblies when moved as "connected" using translation tool

Auto Credit Based on KraZIvan's Fuel Tanks not autoassigning fuel to RCS, Jet Engines
To reproduce:
-click on red disk on bottom of LM (see picture) with the translation tool to move the LM
-Hold the vertical movement arrow on the translation tool
-Internal tanks (purple) and panels gold) of LM shift position and become askew within the LM assembly, making the craft crooked
I'm not sure if it's related to the high-part count, or because I'm building this craft in an older laptop, or maybe due to both, although I have moved assemblies with large number of parts before and haven't encountered this issue.
