Fuel tank and strust parts created through "Add section" in the part shape tool are not connected with Shell

Reproduce:
1. Click "Add section" in the part shape tool
Notice how the new fueltank/strut part is not connected with the original fuel tank/strut through the Shell connector.
Both "Auto Resize Part" for global designer options and "Auro Resize" for the fuel tank/strut are on.
