Droo SEPA Achives November 2218

Subject: Finished Project

SEPA's second functioning plane since the formation of the agency.
After many unsuccessful versions, the DM 103 Stork made its maiden flight and soared across the skies, opening a new era in SEPA (Space Exploration and Population Agency) Contracting. With the new available Aircraft, we can now transport cruiser parts and other supplies over long distances to be constructed. I asked Dr Oppenheimer to continue his outstanding work with the Droo Force Projects. I trust we can keep him onboard now he has shown his worth with the "Stork". I'd also like to announce that work started on the 'Shuriken' Station. We expect if we keep up at this pace, we'll be finished ahead of schedule. I think it might be appropriate to celebrate the start of a great beginning sir?
Signing off.

Ray Macross - Director Secretary.

Great news! I was so captivated when I saw that silver bird leave the tarmac. I was pleased with Dr Oppenheimer’s incredible work, ensure that he and his family are well paid.
On a serious note, I am aware that production is underway of the ‘#Shuriken’ (Item #036). I will assume that this is the only email you’ve sent that contains ‘Item 036’? Let’s keep things professional from here on, we can’t have a slip up liken the Sevastopol incident of 2137 (there’s some interesting story on that, it also serves as a good reminder to keep security top priority). Restrict the use of all items and subject names. (We gave them id’s for a reason) If any use of the nicknames are brought up through audio scan or web search, investigate any and all involved, we need security tight. I am thankful from your current efforts to the cause.
Be sure to keep in touch.

Sir, Oppenheimer has requested to send you a voice message, the text files are below:
[Voice Message from Dr Oppenheimer]
“Thank you for keeping me onboard sir, but, sir, after a month of progress on item #036, we’ve, pause encountered a problem sir, the weight of the station is holding us back, the centrifugal forces will tear it apart! We need to lower the Monopropellant stores, but, if we do that, there’s a chance that we could run out whilst trying to manoeuvre in orbit. I am afraid that we may have to remove some of the recreational rooms until docking. With our current course in production, we may need some external help. I-I know that the Weyland Yutani Corporation has such technology that could help us reduce weight, but I don’t know if it’s too early in development to release our designs, sir. Of course, it’s up to you, but it’s going to be expensive and difficult, if we do not make a breakthrough fast.
Thank you, sir.”
[End of Transmission]
Sir, if we listen to Dr Oppenheimer, we may lose some precious technology, but we ARE faced with such a dilemma. We need to act, otherwise, we may never finish. What will we do sir?

I understand we are in a difficult position, I have heard that the Weyland Yutani Corp. have sufficient technology to help us. I hear they have mastered ultra-lightweight alloys and a sophisticated microfiber insulation. WE among many private space agencies would love to get our hands on such tech, but I know that they don’t sell that technology cheap. I think we may have to bargain. I suppose we could let them in on our new DMS-5200 RP-1 booster, but that’s highly confidential technology. But I will try to contact them, see what they’re willing to offer.
Also, what is our progress on the Lander Project? I understand that these technologies are expensive and a new area of difficulty, but, I hear that sustained flight has been accomplished.
