The ASF-X Shinden II is a fictional multirole stealth fighter aircraft that appears in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and other parts of the series’ lore. It was designed as Japan’s next-generation main fighter, developed by Shinshuu Industrial, and incorporates elements from real-world 5th generation aircraft.
Its name “Shinden” (震電) means “Magnificent Lightning” or “Magnificent Thunderbolt”, a homage to the WWII prototype Kyūshū J7W Shinden, while “II” marks it as a successor .
