Nova-1:
Nova-1 is a space craft equiped with a Deuterium tritium fusion erngine. It's a scientific spacecraft capable of long range travel to the outer and inner Solar System. The craft was the product of the Nova Program.
Nova Program:
Nova-1 is one of the 2 sister ships constructed during the Nova Program in 2090. Nova 1 & 2 served as long range crewed sientific vessels. The ships carryied out their missions until 2180 when the ships were modernized with new equipment and modules under the Kuiper Project.
Kuiper Project:
The Kuiper Project aimed to land humans on the surface of pluto by 2190. The program pulled funding to upgrade and modernize Nova-1 and Nova-2 built earlier during the Nova program. Nova-1 got fitted with a better life support system, food farm, and a higher capacity gravity ring capable of housing 18 humans. Nova-2 got turned into a gargo ransport, having its life systems removed to maxamize the payload capacity to pluto. Nova-2 would then be reassembled back into a human science vessel after the mission.
