This plane is NEO’s first attempt at a viable hyper-efficient passenger aircraft. Although not liked by pilots for its novel design, it was a success in that it set in motion a revolution in commercial air travel. NEO also had an extensive propoganda campaign to increase public trust in this new type of plane. While more expensive to produce than contemporary narrow body jets and harder to maintain, it used on average 35 percent less jet fuel, and shorted flight time by another 25 percent. It would cruise at speeds just above mach 1, so that the sonic boom couldn’t be heard on the ground because of hotter air near the surface.
Performance
This is an airliner (crazy right) so it isn’t going to break speed records or anything. It can turn reletively quick at lower speeds, but struggles above mach 1. It can supercruise at mach 1.2, and with full afterburners can go mach 2. Only land if you can handle less responsive aircraft, and it is a bit unstable at full wing sweep.
Notes
I made this plane while flying, so it isn’t the most detailed. I just wanted to make something with this efficient wing design, and I could only find two other builds on the site with it. It is in its factory paint scheme because I don’t know how to create custom decals and I’m away from my pc. It would be relitively simple to slap on a FBW system onto it, but I’m to lazy to do that. :)
If you like it, please consider upvoting.
Thank you for checking out my build, and have a nice flight!

Ahh, that wing style, it is said to make aircraft faster iirc, yet idk why it failed,
It is safer for an airline or manufacturer to spend billions on the tiniest details than to spend millions to make a way more efficient plane, sadly
