This is way better (and cooler) than any "flying formation" than I've ever tried to make. But with my recent "breakthrough" in truly understanding how the connection tool works, the power of connectivity it can yield, and seeing how well your craft(s) work and fly, I'ma gonna try something similar with my soon-to-be-released craft(s): A fleet of specially modified DC-3's operated by "Bob's Jump, Dump, Dive and Drive Discount Training Institute of Aviation, Aeronautics and Rover Technology, Proudly Sponsored By Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A.", or just "BJDDDDTIAART" for short. Man if i can get three or four of my DC-3's in a steady formation to drop the jumpers (and rovers) simultaneously, it would look and be totally bad-ass. The best formation I've been able to make is with three planes but having to switch to each one regularly to keep the "formation" tight. it kinda works but is quite a bit of a challenge. I've had a mid-air (which looked cool-as-hell 😎), had a plane just fly off into the sunset, etc... it's always been a PITA but when done right it's awesome to see. I've taken quite a few photos (or screenshots) and LOVE the new field of view setting when taking a photo. I've gotten some really cool pics that I really need to post over in the Screenshots forum.
Hit my profile and scroll down to the last couple pics... the bottom one is the latest version of the plane, jumpers, rover and Bob himself behind the rover's wheel. Normally the drop would be higher but an engine on the DC-3 failed shortly after taking off and everyone bailed before a crash landing. 🤪
