Does not use any mods so it could in theory run on mobile provided a high frame rate.

A SAM(surface-to-air missile) turret that fires automatically at anything airborne within 1km.
This missile can shoot farther but the game would only do physics calculations for crafts within 1km from the player.

The missiles are not that effective because the minimum range is barely smaller than 1km. They also like to spin out of control if your framerate is lower than 20. You can get the most out of these missiles with a slow target that does only moderate maneuvers.

A hit does not guarantee a kill either due to how the game handles collisions but the missile would always explode thanks to the proximity fuse. Therefore it is advisable to employ multiple of these turrets if you want to defend something.

You can also arm/disarm it with AG 10 to avoid unnecessary troubles.

Check out here for the missiles on the turret.

hey, i have reworked your sam system a bit.

it now does significantly more damage which means that every hit leads to the destruction of the build.

is it ok for you if i upload it to me?

Can you increase the ammunition count?

Finally, I can test the resilience of my flugzeugs

And also how do you make the Sam turn towards the target craft?

How did you make your missiles track a craft? And how did you make your missile accurate. @s5ehfr9

@SMurf unfortunately, no. It is even impossible through modding because the physics range is a constant and is not open to the mod api. I am planning to do a THAAD type missile that defends against ballistic missiles but the launcher has to be player controlled to have the normal range

Could you make the THAAD air defense

Is there a way to increase the range

This is actually my favorite build. Nice craft. I just wish it could blow things up.

@WereOutOfNamesArentWe The problem is that you can not obtain part data of other crafts.

@WereOutOfNamesArentWe I'd say it's hard because missiles like mine do not have command chips and are not considered crafts by the game. Since the only information you could have about other crafts is their center position, there is no way to know if a missile is coming at you.

@WereOutOfNamesArentWe there's a loop involving a variable called shortest and it is used to find the nearest craft. The craft ID is stored in the variable target.

maybe I should start to add comments to my code.

Now THIS is cool/fun! Here’s the results from my first three attempts.
First attempt: Two misses with my own slapped-together “plane”.

Second attempt: I targeted your turret with @Shlter_Love ‘s really cool Tomahawk Missile. Your turret scored one miss and one hit but... it continued to fly BUT it missed your turret.

However, the third time’s a charm, right?
    RIGHT!

Third attempt: I did a low pass down the runway with @FoxtrotTheSergal ‘s beautiful B-47 Stratojet. As I applied full thrust and began climbing, the B-47 took two hits: The first caused some damage, but a second or two later the second missile hit, blew the tail off, and the plane spiraled into the ground. Totally cool to watch everything go kaboom!

Great job... I’m gonna have some fun with this thing!

The programs are "a little" sub optimised but seem to work well!
    Though I haven't been hit yet ;)
